In an urban district, our students’ families struggle to have all the necessary learning tools to succeed. With a new classroom, we also want to make our room inviting and comfortable for our students. Starting off the school year, we will need a lot of supplies to support our students' success! Our students will need crayons for their illustrations. Students write in their journals and are always encouraged to draw a picture with their writing. In our classroom, a pocket chart will help display our words of the week. This helps students learn the words through repetition and visuals. It would be great to have book bins that organize through genre and reading level. Students work throughout the year with online educational programs but are not supplied with headphones. Headphones help our class focus better with a quiet work environment. We know our students are capable of learning so much with the right tools to help them succeed. They are wonderful children who deserve the best we can give them.
