I will hold a sewing club during lunchtime where students can learn a new skill. Students will be learning to use simple sewing machines to create their own garment pieces. They will learn to read pattern instructions and how to cut garments from fabric. By donating to this project, you will help students develop a lifelong skill and hobby, and maybe even give them an idea for a future career. Students will develop a connection to school by doing something they are excited to do. This project will also help me to develop relationships with my students outside the typical academics.
