The rugs that are in my classroom are generally small and have been used by many students over the years. I would love a spacious rug that can fit all my students of all sizes and give them a flexible amount of room. Making students comfortable and giving them a flexible seating and a comfortable learning space is my goal. The classroom carpet is used daily as a special meeting place for students. New skills are introduced, students listen to stories, interact with one another, dance, and play. Every morning, students sit in a circle on the carpet and participate in Morning Meeting where the weather and date is reviewed, they dance and sing, and have a comfortable place to learn and have fun. In my PreK classroom the students are barely at their tables, except to eat. I would love for my students to have a fresh new carpet to brighten our room and give to them a special, colorful place to foster their learning and creativity. Please consider donating to our project.
