If my project is fully funded I have planned for numerous science classes throughout the year to use the valuable resources you will be providing. Studying the butterflies will introduce them to the life cycle, a fundamental piece to understanding Environmental science and the environment. Getting a chance to view their world through the lens of a microscope will broaden their appreciation of their place in the world and give them hands-on opportunities to view plant and animal cells. With a STEM solar robot for each group, they can learn about energy transfer, engineering concepts, and reinforce the importance of teamwork. By measuring, using tools, and analyzing Geodes they will better understand the natural processes of geology and plate tectonics. Along with the science and mathematics components, learners will broaden their vocabularies in meaningful ways.
