A traditional desk does not work for all students. Providing stool options allows those who cannot stay in a desk for a class period to have another place to sit and prevents them from becoming disruptive. They stay more engaged and participate more when they don't feel trapped in a desk. Even high schoolers get the wiggles. These stools are also lab appropriate so they are safe to be used in my Chemistry classroom. Choices in everything are so important when teaching high school as they are coming into their own. High schoolers will often make the best choice for their academic success when it is available. These stools will allow students that would usually be frustrated in my class the opportunity to find more success in my class.
