By funding this project you are supporting my students in a new classroom library. Each week students get to "check-out" new books and read them during their independent reading station. Currently our books are outdated, and don't reflect the beautiful spectrum of the world. My goal is to create a new classroom library with stories from different parts of the world, different cultures, and characters that reflect the diversity that is in my classroom. This new library will serve students in the Washington, DC area and will also be able to transition with me to any classroom that I teach in!!
