I use a workshop model for reading and writing instruction. Here, students build independence and stamina while also having opportunities to conference with me and work in small groups. Book boxes help students stay organized and allow portability for students to work individually, with a partner, in a group, or with me. Flexible seating options encourage students to cozy up and sink their teeth into a good book. Stickers are provided for learners to individualize their writer's notebook, reader's notebook, and their interactive journal. Help make my classroom a space for joyful literacy!
