After this year, I find myself ready to transition from the role of summer school teacher to program leader in an official capacity. These tools will ensure a smoother remainder of our current session, as well as help my future team begin our program on the right footing next summer. The radios will be a permanent resource not only for the current summer school program, but our school's after-school program during the school year as well. They are vitally necessary to make sure our students can be transitioned from classrooms to the public playground and to communicate emergencies to all appropriate staff.
