For the past three years, I have taught fourth-grade reading and science. As a brand new life skills teacher, I am starting from square one. Students in the life skills program need straightforward and descriptive instruction and schedules to help them succeed. They need easy-to-use materials that are printed and ready to go. They need to have their independent schedules printed, laminated and posted in the room to know what they need to do next. My students need color materials to help with any visual or sensory impairment. My goal for my students is to help them become more independent and self sufficent. These items will help make my students' learning more interactive and colorful to help keep them engaged.
