The materials requested will help with a hands-on learning experiences in my classroom. Students will be able to explore and collaborate with their peers during all subject areas. Most of these materials can be used for indoor recess on rainy and cold days, as well as for "brain breaks" when the students need a brief break to regroup their thoughts. Teachers do a lot of laminating throughout the school year to create centers and projects to send home. Hot Dots are a great center to have for independent learning because the pen will tell the student if their answer choice is correct or if they need to try again. The students love to be independent and learn at the same time and Hot Dots allow them to do this. Hands-on materials help all different types of learners from visual to tactile, etc. Having the appropriate classroom materials is the key to keeping the students engaged and ready to learn. By funding this project, you are helping to make my classroom more "fun" and engaging for all students involved.
