I have the pleasure of teaching a bright, energetic, and wonderful group of ethnically diverse kindergarten children from low income families. More than half of these students live in the community, and a percentage of them are bused from surrounding areas of the city. Several of my students are on Individual Learning Plans (IEP) due to special learning and behavioral abilities. Supporting all of my children with creative lessons is essential to their growth and development. The school is a free lunch urban public school located in a high crime area. Despite the challenges these children face from day to day, they come to school very eager to learn and participate in various extra curricular activities.
