My students will benefit from the ability to choose a seat, within our classroom, that will be comfortable for them. Students that have the opportunity to attend a class with flexible seating are more relaxed and will participate in classroom conversations. They are usually more focused and test scores tend to be higher. I want my students to be excited to come to my classroom because the environment gives them a sense of safety. Having flexible seating will also encourage students to adopt a growth mindset. Half the battle of the learning process is getting them to WANT to be in my classroom and the other half is getting them to want to learn.
