Hi there! I'm a kindergarten teacher in Ashburn, VA. One of the most important aspects of kindergarten is being immersed in a variety of literature to help foster a love of reading and belonging. We also know that these littles learn so much through play and hands-on activities. Our school is entering its 3rd year of existence. In year one, we were hit by Covid. Year two was a roller coaster pandemic year where most of the school was virtual and some in a hybrid situation. It was one of the hardest years of my life. You would think because our school is new-ish, we would have all the funds to fully provide for our kids. That's just not the case. Our PTA is barely off the ground, and having not been in person for 1.5 of the last two years has made it tough to fundraise. Kinders in Loudoun County don't have a playground, so teachers have to provide playthings. Our littlest learners need more to help them access their true learning and growing potential! Please consider helping!
