My students will learn to how to create a compost in the classroom by using left over food from the school cafeteria. They will add worms to their composts and observe the after affects of the break down of food by the worms and time. Students will collect their own scraps from their homes and bring them to school to add to the compost. Students will also create a compost in their backyards and from their left over vegetables, fruits, and waste. They will take photographs of their composts created at home.
