Imagine sitting in a normal looking World Geography classroom, learning about Victoria Falls in Zambia, or New York Time Square, or The Great Pyramids of Giza. But instead of reading about it or hearing a presentation on the places, to be transported as much as one can, to those places. This your help, that is exactly what I am to do with this project. The 3 projectors will be placed on top of the celling and pointed to three of the classroom walls. Through a adobe program, students will be able to have a 360 degree view (including the promethean board located at the front of the classroom) of places around the world. Transporting them right in the middle of the world's most famous locations. The surround sound is to further enhance the experience by creating the illusion of the world being completely around them. The HDMI cords, extension cords, and HDMI ports are just the necessary hardware to plug it into a singular computer to run the program. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of culture and place around the world by transporting them to those places inside the classroom. By implementing this 360 Degree Classroom model, my students will be able to be transfered to these places to obtain a deeper and more profound understanding of other cultures, locations, and history. We will use these materials to aide us in the process of becoming world wide travelers and explorers to the many people, religions, and customs that inhabit this world. As the teacher and a videographer, I understand the connections that videos have on people. So, to create a space that can make a student feel like they're somewhere else is something I need your help to create into a reality!
