It's so easy for elementary students to loose paper, pencils, and focus! With a surf desk, students have materials needed to complete the task on hand right in front of them. Flexible seating allows for beneficial placement: teamwork, small group, partners, or independently attending to tasks. Surf chairs allow you to bring students closer to the smartboard to work, thus increasing focus. Avoid the temptation of wandering away by placing relevant material on a desktop which is encircled by criss/cross legs. Make it easier for students to write and read with a desktop provided in their own personal space.
