Sitting is hard when you are 5 or 6 years old! Our bodies want to move, wiggle and even sit on the ground sometimes. I want to bring flexible seating to my classroom for several reasons and enhance my students' learning experience! Providing my students with flexible seating options gives them ownership and choices to guide their learning and development, all while being comfortable! The wobble stools and Donuts will be used at a table to read, write or do the math, while the cushions will allow students to sit comfortably on the floor. Research shows that allowing students to move and wiggle increases their attention span, and therefore they will be more engaged in the lessons being taught.
