This year I am working on trying to help maximize growth in my students reading ability. I have done lots of research and decided that the best way to achieve this growth is breaking students into differentiated guided reading groups two days a week, and then working in Kagan groups two days a week. Because of this I am going to need lots of leveled resources from teachers pay teachers to achieve my goal. To be able to help students become strong readers, I want to be able to cater to their specific needs. No two students learn the same. Each day students will have the opportunity to see material that is on their specific level, as well as grade level text. This is going to require many resources that we simply do not have the funds to provide. The students will use these materials each day. It is important to be to be able to provide these students lessons and material that are going to help them grow as learners. It is also going help students feel successful in our reading classroom.
