Using whiteboards is a daily activity in my classroom, especially in ELA. Using the workshop model in reading, students come to the rug with whiteboards for guided practice and to record comprehension strategies. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. Whiteboards act as a tool to check for students' understanding during instruction. This allows me to see misconceptions and adjust my instruction to ensure students are grasping the concept. This resource will help each group of students that I have the pleasure of teaching.
