Students will becoming back to in-person learning and in the classroom we have 1:1 devices but we are not given headphones by the school. When working during technology time it is hard for students to hear their own computers over the sound of their classmates or it is hard to hear their own device at all because we have to quiet devices to the bare minimum level to avoid noise chaos and confusion. Furthermore, as a rotation during literacy time students listen to audio books to advance their vocabulary. Students can't focus on their own stories or in different stations because they do not have headphones. This would help solve these problems tremendously and provide them time to focus on their own learning. Additionally, many students in my classroom are undiagnosed with some form of learning disability and have noticed that many prefer to work in a quiet environment. I have only one pair of noise canceling safety ear muffs and it is a constant battle over who gets to use it today because so many students want to have them to work.
Please help me help my students' ability to concentrate and focus on learning.
