These books help students see themselves within the pages of what they read. As someone who grew up in the projects or low income community, books became my magical happy place. I want students to experience the same. A great classroom library will aid in student access in academics and social and emotional well being. Books are magical and can allow students an opportunity to go places within the pages, places they have never gone before. Some students have never been to a library and may never experience having a library card. Having a classroom library that meets these interest and needs of the students gives them a opportunity to materials they otherwise mày never know.
