In the classroom, it is important to teach appropriate behaviors along with decision making skills. The kids will earn tickets for good choices, kindness, and many other positive behaviors. They will collect these tickets and trade them in for animals and habitats, They will also earn food and other things that will help them care for their animal. The kids work really hard to earn their pet and love taking care of them. My students will keep these habitats on their desks. They are called "Desk Pets." They are so proud of how much they have earned that they will show them off to everyone.
