The materials I have requested will help my students take notes in class as some families are not able to provide notebooks and pencils/pens for their students. The materials will also be used for history presentations. Students are given the option to present their "Captains of Industry" and their "Reconstruction Era Inventions" projects through different mediums, if markers and posterboards were available to them it would help those students who best express themselves creatively. Also, some materials I have requested are to help with lighting in my room. Many students have complained about how harsh the lights are on their eyes early in the morning so I have asked for some lamps and lights to help them feel more comfortable in my class.
