I know this list is varying in items, but each item is essential for student success. The ink will be utilized for the printing of student materials as well as for correspondence for families. The file folders will be utilized to make privacy screens for students while taking assessments but also if they need quiet time due to social emotional needs. As a new teacher, my science materials will be utilized for many years for our district does not replace them annually; therefore, it will be important for items to be laminated for multi-year student use. I bet you never thought of the necessity of bandaids, but by having a supply, students don't have to leave the lesson to go to the office to get one which creates learning gaps. The power strips and USB ports will allow my students to use technology in various locations throughout the classroom environment instead of being tethered to a wall plug. Student success is what will make me an effective teacher!
