I am requesting subscriptions to Scholastic News, which is a weekly consumable paper on interesting topics for kids. Scholastic News also has an area that tests comprehension of the focused topic. I plan on integrating these topics into classroom lessons and using them in small groups. Students will also be able to take them home. So, when the age old question is asked..."What did you learn at school today?" My students will have their Scholastic News in hand ready to share, read and discuss what they have learned with their parents/guardians.
