As a first year teacher, there are many challenges, adventures, and wins that I will endeavor. My main priority going into the new school year is that my students and I are well prepared to tackle on the new school year. While my students continued their schooling whether they were virtual or in-person, their fine motor skills might have been affected. Whether it is gluing, cutting, or writing; they are all essential in 1st grade. I plan on using pencils, glue, and scissors in our every day school life. The Post-it note easel pad will be used during whole group instruction, whether it is making an anchor chart during ELA or learning how to make a ten frame during math. These charts will be made so students can reference them throughout the school year and so they can feel apart of the classroom.
