Children on the spectrum typically have a more difficult time forming positive relationships with foods than other students. It's important all students are well fed and have full bellies before and during learning. A refrigerator will keep my students' lunches fresh and ingredients for cooking projects cool. In order to ensure my students are eating breakfast and lunch, I allow them to bring in their own lunches. I also bring in special snacks and drinks I know my students will eat. My students also love doing cooking activities in the classroom.
