My group of Second graders are mostly ELL (English Language Learners) who attend a Title I school in Florida. They get excited about great books and enjoy reading non-fiction and humorous stories. Several families are migrant, so they bounce around from state to state throughout the year. These Second graders need exposure to as many different genres and texts as possible, including American history, insects, and poetry.
