I am requesting ten iPads so students can download novels, and to use for research during novel units. The use of technology is almost a daily activity in my classroom. Using iPads in language arts, students can download their favorite novels on the iPads, and students can also use the iPads to make notes as they read by using the iPads. State testing is moving toward all online assessments. Students need time to practice using iPads to read passages and novels online. I hope that students will develop comfort with the technology. The practice on the iPads will help them fill that comfort at the end of the year when they must complete their ELA assessment online.
