Research tells us that children learn best through play-based activities with opportunities to collaborate with their peers. During our learning centers, I try to provide as many hands-on activities for my students where they can learn while having fun. These activities promote collaboration in partner and small group settings within the classroom. They thrive when they are working and learning together. My students are full of energy and are more engaged when they are moving and interacting with their learning environment. During the pandemic, students had to rely more heavily on technology for their learning. The items that I have selected will help me bring new and fun learning opportunities into the classroom. They will provide my students with the types of hands-on and playful activities that they need in order to create and encourage more meaningful learning opportunities.
