Children who are learning to read independently need quality books that will help them love to read. Books are often filled with potty humor or complex themes that third graders are not ready for. I want my classroom filled with the best books. I want my students to have books available to them that they will want to read and feel safe reading. So many of the books that are inexpensive are either filled with uninteresting stories, inappropriate humor, or characters we can't easily connect with. Early on in a child's reading progression is the time to learn to love reading. Having the right book in your hand is sometimes the only thing needed for reading success!

About my class
