My students are from a small part of the world that doesn't include a lot of diversity. Reading about other cultures and life styles will help them begin to understand the world outside of our community. Building awareness in our classroom will help them succeed in the every changing world we live in. Understanding the world outside of our community is vital to having respect and kindness for unique individuals. Cultural awareness in the classroom with help prepare them for future careers. We cannot do anything about the lack of diversity in our community, but we can become knowledgeable about the world!

About my class
