Students learn the basics of parliamentary procedure and running an organized meeting during their freshmen and sophomore year. After that point, they are encouraged to apply for a chapter FFA officer position where they can continue to develop their public speaking and debate skills. They are also invited to train for either the varsity or JV parliamentary procedure team, which competes each December in the hopes of making it to the state level. This grant will be used to purchase a podium and podium cover to be used for both meetings and parliamentary procedure team practices.
