My scholars are very verbal about how they wish we could engage in more hands on projects; however, this is sometimes a challenge due to limited supplies and resources. Though all subjects are focused on at my school, math, reading, and ELA are often times the main focus. I believe I can find a great already prepared science and social lesson on Teachers Pay Teachers and also have the Scholastic magazines to get students excited about Science and Social Studies. The scholastic readers also often times use a cross curricular format which my student and I would highly appropriate. Having the items in my projected funded would allow students who currently live in low income neighborhoods to get exposure to things they wouldn't from places outside of the classroom.
