There is an array of different activities that you can use to teach social skills. One of the best ways is through playing games. Students do not even realize that they are being taught a life long skill such as being fair and taking turns. Students are not all the same and need a variety of resources to help them acquire skills to be able to be great citizen. Puzzles and coloring is a way to be able to bring a student that might be shy to be able to express themselves. Other students thrive with being able to play more physical play. That is why I have included a toss game. The whales are what I use for students that are struggling with anxiety or sadness. We talk about how worry whale can swim away with whatever is bothering them so that they can enjoy their day. I appreciate any help that you can give to me to help my students become great citizens.
