Since this is my first year of teaching, I'm essentially starting from scratch. I wish to provide my 8th grade students with durable, high-quality supplies that will help them both in the classroom and at home. Many of the kiddos live in low-income neighborhoods of Milwaukee and aren't able to buy much supplies on their own. To relieve some of that strain, this project is to provide the basic-yet-essential supplies to kick off our first year back in-person with lots of smiles! These supplies include pencils, markers, highlighters, organizational supplies, a small rug, and other basics. No child should have to worry about bringing in the simplest of supplies just so they can learn.
