The booklights in the project will add novelty and excitement to the world of reading. The booklights will be used by the students as they read their choice of books during our D.E.A.R (Drop Everything And Read) block. Lights will be turned off to simulate a reading under the covers situation, which all avid readers have done at one point in their lives. This is the goal of the booklights, to create avid life long readers. I know the students will absolutely love reading because of the booklights. The booklights will brighten the students learning beyond the 10 minutes of DEAR time.
