I am a teacher who loves to put costumes on, and totally immerse the learner in a real life situation that makes learning math and science applicable. I love to show them the ways that many of these skills are used, and why it is important to master them. I do this by transforming my classroom into different environments like an airport, hospital, Hogwarts, and different continents to name a few, and they have to use their learned skills to achieve certain tasks (kind of like an escape room.) Doing classroom transformations are always so worth it, but very time consuming. Obtaining a Cricut Maker would help the creating process go a little bit faster. I can use it to create resources, decorations, or worksheet materials. On average, setting up classroom transformations takes me around 8-10 hours to do so. Most items used for decor I have to buy out of pocket. Being able to make them myself would save me a lot of time and money. All materials created will also be donated after use to a non-profit organization called Operation Engagement, that encourages teachers to rent kits for free to transform their classrooms. Not only would it be great for helping add the extra flair to my transformations, but since having to teach during a pandemic, the sharing of supplies does not happen much and I have to make sure that each student has their own supplies for use at all times. Having a Cricut would make labeling their items a much easier task, seeing as I have about 60 kids that I teach in my classroom in a day. I appreciate you taking the time to read.
