If I supplied every item that is in my classroom right now, I would not have much money left. Teaching takes up so much of our time, energy, and emotions that it is hard to also take a toll on us financially. With the help of donors like you, this is something we don't have to worry about. That takes a load of stress of our/my shoulders because I am able to love and serve my students the best that I can with resources like the ones you provided for me.\r\nWith the materials I was provided, I was able to organize, create more engaging activities and give my students more resources to focus during school. The rainbow cart allowed me to organize my lesson plans based on the subject and day during the week. It was helpful to keep my lesson plans organize in case of emergency for a substitute. Next, the lego planet simulator was very helpful for students to understand a very abstract concept such as the moon, earth and sun orbit and rotation. Lastly, having the stress balls for my students was very helpful with a class full of students who have ADHD. Many students need stimulation in order to help them focus on their assignments, so having these as a resources to them was so helpful. \r\nEverything that was provided to us, we are forever grateful for and my students will benefit from the generosity for many years to come!","fullyFundedDate":1739372329203,"projectUrl":"project/mid-year-crisis-keeping-organized-sta/9082766/","projectTitle":"Mid-Year Crisis: Keeping Organized & Staying Engaged","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Choate","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8534380_orig.jpg?crop=1522,1522,x705,y826&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1698879366099","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8534380"},{"teacherId":8534380,"projectId":8350586,"letterContent":"I could write a novel explaining to you the importance of creating an environment in my classroom where students can feel more comfortable, see that I can trust them to have responsibility of their own and care for their well-being for the success of my classroom. Because of the generosity you had, I was able to give this to my students. Specifically with the noise-cancelling headphones, my students have been able to foster an environment that is adaptable for all learners. Even for my students who have higher mental/emotional needs, this has been life-changing for my classroom.\r\n\r\nNot only are we able to help create a more calm and focused classroom, but with the flexible seating options, I have students who used to struggle with attention deficits who are now able to focus for longer periods. I am beyond thankful for the ability to receive this funding to help create an environment that welcomes all types of learners and welcomes differences. It is teaching life lessons that will go beyond their academic instruction.","fullyFundedDate":1715167559224,"projectUrl":"project/comfort-include-engage/8350586/","projectTitle":"Comfort, Include, Engage","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Choate","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8534380_orig.jpg?crop=1522,1522,x705,y826&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1698879366099","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8534380"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_127316","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":742,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":56,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":16,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"4 - 6","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":127316,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Redstone Intermediate School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Redstone Intermediate School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/yukon-public-schools/redstone-intermediate-school/127316"}
