The majority of my 100 students do not have the means to purchase the resources needed for the classroom. Almost all of the work we do in class is put into what we call their "Interactive Notebook." This notebook is a great way for the kids to stay organized and appreciate all they are doing and learning throughout the school year. However, scissors and glue sticks are needed to make this happen. The graduated cylinders and metric rulersd are used often, but our school's supply is old, dilapidated and getting smaller every year. One of the core pieces of teaching science here in the US is training students to understand the language of the metric system. To do accomplish this, we feel it imperative to get tools in their hands so they can do the inquiry based science with the proper language of the metric system. Help give these kids the quality tools they can use to expand their understanding of how our world works.
