Maybe it's the smell of the markers or just having the markers to doodle with, but they will easily do what I need them to do on a white board! They are practicing and reinforcing the concepts they need to learn without realizing it! Having jumbo magnetic dry erase grids to put on a white board will allow me to model algebra and geometry concepts more easily (saves me from hand drawing a grid on a plain white board). Additionally, a pack of small hand held grids will allow them to show and model to me their understanding. Also, since I share a classroom with another EL teacher, having a rolling whiteboard would all us to divide our room and have additional white board space. How does a teacher help students forget that what they are learning is "hard"?
