“There's no such thing as a kid who hates reading. There are kids who love reading, and kids who are reading the wrong books.” -James Patterson This quote is near and dear to me as I teach everyday in my 5th grade reading classroom. I truly believe that each student in my class has the potential to become a lifelong reader, when given the opportunity to choose books they are interested in. When I inherited my current classroom, there was a small outdated classroom library. I have been trying to slowly update and replace the classroom libray with books my students will love to read. I have been carefully trying to select many different genres, so that every student can find books to meet their interests. Please help me to build my classroom library with the books requested in this project to reach the individual needs of readers and encourage their life long love of reading.
