I recently read an article on Edutopia about flexible. I am more aware now that not every child works best sitting in a chair at a table. This project would allow my students the opportunity to explore multiple seating options in the room. Flexible seating in my classroom would allow my students to choose a seat that not only helps them be comfortable, but also helps them to focus their energy on learning and doing their best in class. These supplies would allow students to sit on yoga balls at tables, sit a a low table on a wiggle cushion, or work with a clipboard on the floor. Many of my students need the movement and stimulation of alternative seating in order to really focus on their work. These seating options would make learning and working more enjoyable for many of my students. This will also give my students some freedom of choice in their school day.
