By donating these diverse dramatic play toys, my students will get to work together to begin to solidify their 5 year old identities. Having been at home and not having the chance to go to preschool because of COVID-19, many of the incoming Kindergartners in the next couple of years will need support in developing social and emotional skills, and in my thorough research I have found that dramatic play is one of the best ways to do this! The first 5 years of life is so crucial for children’s brain development and these dramatic play toys from Lakeshore includes dolls of different ethnicities so all children can find one that looks like them, as well as other play based options that will intrigue even the shyest of students! Thank you so much for considering donating to my students- I am hoping these items will help them to feel comfortable and excited about coming to in-person school!
