The "Get Moving" Activity Club will benefits students' physical, mental, and social well being. With your generous donations, these items will be used for games and activities that encourage movement, team building, and social skills such as Capture the Flag and Sharks and Minnows. Using the activity cones, we can set up obstacle courses, play corn hole variations, and complete agility activities. With the hula hoops, we will play games such as Rattlesnake Relay which is a great way to increase cardiovascular endurance. As a former personal trainer and kinesiology graduate, I understand and appreciate the importance of movement. My objective with this club is to teach students this importance as well, which will lead students to live a healthy and physically active lifestyle. According to the CDC Healthy Schools program, physical activity improves students concentration, increases on task behavior in the classroom, reduces disruptive behavior, and improves social and emotional development. With your help, the "Get Moving" Activity Club will benefits students not only now, but will lead to a healthier future as well.
