My students are amazing students. Their trauma is not their fault, and it’s up to me to help them be successful in school and prepare them for when they enter society by teaching them the social emotional skills to be successful. The flexible seating options is for our daily restorative circles that help build a strong classroom community and gives us a space to teach social skills while allowing the kids to feel safe, secure, and free of their trauma if only for a moment. They deserve a chance at a slightly normal life despite their past.

About my class
