I believe that books are essential for helping students develop a love for learning. Too often, I feel that students do not like reading because they are not given options in what books they can read. I want to provide a classroom library that offers many choices of books to my students. I compiled this list (with help from my literature professor) which includes rich literature that should help captivate different students' attention. Within these wide-range of books, I wanted to make sure to include classics, as well as newer books. My vision for my classroom library, is to have the books in an accessible corner of my room where students can go and choose books they would like to read. I also plan to use the books for class read alouds and literature instruction. Thank you!
