I plan to use the assortment of seating in my classroom to foster a safe and comfortable learning environment. As a first year teacher, I do not have a variety of furniture to be able to create a classroom with seating that students can choose to work at besides their desks. Kids really rise to the occasion and show you the they CAN choose good "working spots" when given the freedom to do so. Please consider donating to a first-year teacher's goal of giving students options to choose different types of seating during classroom times such as partner/group work and when independently reading.
