These materials will be placed in a school wide enrichment room. The STEM materials needed are a Design Build Engineering Centers which has three separate hands on building kits- building bridges, cars and homes. Also, I'm asking for Magna-Tiles which is a more opened ended exploration of building materials. In this request, there is an additional Create-A-Chain Reaction STEM Kit and a Remote-Control Gear-Bot, these two products have a more directed purpose. All of these products listed create collaborative learning, communication, real world scenarios, and critical thinking. The students will be able to come to this room once a week and work through content in a hands-on capacity. The students will choose the materials they would like to use to demonstrate content understanding. This school is a title one school rich with English Language Learners and economically struggling demographic. This experience will allow these students a chance to work at the same level as peers in other more advantage schools. This room and these materials will create collaborative learning, critical thinkers, problem solvers for real problems and inspired individuals.
