I have requested Chromebooks and headphones because we desperately need a better Chromebook to student ratio. Right now we only have 16 computers for 29 students. If we had a few more computers, we are a step closer to our goal of 1:1 ratio in the classroom. A 1:1 ratio ensures that each child gets an opportunity to access the online curriculum without having to share or go at the pace of another student. I have also requested seating for small groups. Surprisingly our school does not provide enough chairs that are big enough for 6th graders. The chairs for my small group table will make it so that students won't have to bring their chairs from across the room to small group and will make transitions smoother. Lastly I have requested novels for my classroom library to give my students a variety of genres for my students to read.
